This project has to be one of my favorites. It’s filled with so much love and thoughtfulness. I’ve wanted to design an April start calendar for a couple years now and the time finally came. I created a 2026-2027 April start calendar with a few different elements to make it unique.
🌱Firstly, it is a lunisolar calendar that incorporates both the ancient 24 Chinese seasons and the 72 Japanese seasons in it.
✨I’ve added aspects of the ancient Hebrew calendar as well including moon phases in each month.
🎨 And of course the illustrations 😌. They mean so much to me! I’ve don’t some digital art over the last few years but never to this extent.
This calendar theme is travel and each illustration features three main characters (The first picture is the Cover). Follow along with the story on my website.
